EASIEST. RECIPE. EVER. Like, seriously, this isn’t even a recipe. You literally just mix a bunch of ingredients into the pan and…
Boom-shakalaka, your done.
Bob’s your uncle.
Sorted.
Fin.
Ok, I’ll stop now, but I hope you get the message – it’s just so friggin easy. Even if you think you can’t cook, try this! All you need is one pan, a spoon and a container to bake in! No fancy tools needed!
Oh, and did I mention, its only FOUR ingredients. Yep, you read that right – FOUR.
This is a recipe for the classic flapjack, I can imagine cinnamon and dried apple chips would be nice, or peanut butter chips and mashed up a banana or dehydrated banana, or coconut pineapple… I could go on forever, but feel free to add in nuts, fruit, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, ANYTHING you want!
Flapjacks
Makes 12 (the images above show half the batch)
150g butter
60g brown sugar
2 1/2 tablespoons golden syrup (you can also use honey, which I’ve tried before)
250g rolled oats
Preheat oven to 180˚C.
Melt butter, sugar and golden syrup in a pan. (Yes, you can stir it – we’re not making caramel here!)
Once melted, add oats and mix.
When thoroughly mixed, push compactly into a pan and bake in oven for about 20 minutes, or until golden ontop.
Make sure you let it cool for atleast 10 minutes! This is vital. (or it will fall apart when you cut it!)
